Kansas City, Kan- Lon and Dawn Wade, a couple from Wichita, Kansas, faced serious health challenges after routine life insurance screenings revealed liver and heart issues.

Dawn was diagnosed with HHT, a rare liver disease, and Lon needed a heart transplant. They sought treatment at the University of Kansas Health System.

Both are now focused on maintaining healthy lifestyles, including dietary changes and regular exercise.
